In this workshop series, titled 'Colour & Corks: Wine Tasting Reimagined,' we aim to foster an inclusive, interactive, and thought-provoking environment where participants can explore the intricate connections between people, identities, and cultures through the lens of wine.

Together, we will not just taste wine as a mere commodity but appreciate it as an art form and craft, infused with passion and dedication. We will explore winemakers, growers, grape varieties, and styles from various corners of the world. Whether you're a complete novice or an expert collector, this workshop promises to deliver something new and exciting for everyone.

Surrounded by contemporary artworks created by ESEA artists, we will savour five diverse wines from Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Each tells a unique story of what home means to its winemaker:

  • A surprising white from the scenic Yorkshire Dales
  • A rosé that chronicles a celebrity couple's struggles to find peace at home
  • An amber made by the displaced and downtrodden
  • A light ruby that follows Chile's journey from a deprived colony to a thriving democracy
  • A deep red made with South African community spirit and collegial solidarity

'Colour & Corks' is a charity initiative by esea contemporary. Most wines are donated by producers and merchants, with all ticket sales supporting esea contemporary's mission to promote diversity and progress in art.

We extend our thanks to the unwavering support of Hallgarten Wines, Boutinot Wines, and Latitude Wines.
